Sabbath Music - Messianic Dance Playlist

Isn't this a lovely image?  Wouldn't dancing on the beach at sunrise (or sunset) be wonderful?  I love that our synagogue worship service includes Davidic dancing.  David danced in worship of ADONAI, and we do, too.

I remember wanting to dance in church, but that was strictly forbidden for Baptists.  Raising hands, too.  Well, He wants us to do both, so I hope you will worship HIm with complete abandon on this Shabbat.  If you can't do it where you worship with other believers, do it at your home.  You will feel a fabulous joy, I promise.

Here's a playlist of Messianic music with David dance.

Good Shabbos to you all, dear Gail-Friends.

Sabbath Music - Sukkot Song & Dancing

Greetings, Gail-Friends.  Our final Fall feast is upon us, so I'm preparing for Shabbat and also for Sukkot.  Tonight, we will combine our Shabbat service with teaching about the Feast of Tabernacles.  We'll be teaching how to build a sukkah in your backyard, or even your patio if you live in an apartment.  If you've never observed this feast, you can learn more HERE.

Sukkot begins at sundown on Sunday evening, which is also the evening that a full red moon (also called a blood moon) will be seen.  I'm not sure what time it will be seen here in Florida, but I look forward to seeing it through the roof of our sukkah.

Here is a wonderful song and dance for Sukkot by Steve McConnell.  I hope you have a blessed Sabbath and a joyful Sukkot celebration this week.  We will have nine days to celebrate in our sukkahs -- nine days of  JOY!

Sabbath Music - And Dancing

“Remember the day, Shabbat, to set it apart for G-d.
(Exodus 20:8)

After a busy week, I'm looking forward to slowing down this evening, resting and being refreshed.  The Sabbath is always sweet, like the apples and honey we've eaten during Rosh Hashanah this week.

Here is a beautiful song for the Sabbath, with a beautiful dance, too. Enjoy, and may your Sabbath rest be sweet.

Sabbath Music - Rejoice!

Greetings and Shabbat Shalom, dear Gail-Friends.  Rejoice - the Sabbath is almost here!  Oh, sweet, blessed time to come away with Adonai.  He made this time just for you and me.  It is special.  He wants to draw near to you as you draw near to Him.

Here are some songs and dancing to enjoy as you
rejoice, refresh, and renew.

Gratitude - Day 11 - Music Part 2

The music of my teen years was a mixture of  three very different styles:  The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and the Mo-Town singers of the 60's

My favorite song by the Beatles is In My Life.  I love the lyrics and I always think of my husband when I hear it.  We met when I was sixteen years old, and although we did not marry until many, many years after that, he was always in my mind.

I was more greatly influenced by Bob Dylan.  None of my friends liked him.  I think I was drawn to his poetic style more than anything else, and I think it helped shape me as a poet.  I certainly was not involved in or sympathetic to his lifestyle or politics during that period of my life.  My favorite by him was Like A Rolling Stone. I must have played that record a million times.

The Mo-Town singers were my favorites, and there are too many to name here, but the Supremes would probably top the list.

Today, I love and enjoy listening to many different styles of music, but mostly lean to instrumental with nature sounds.  I like to have my quiet time on the porch with a music cd that includes birds singing.  One day, a cardinal sat on a tree branch nearby and called back and forth to the cardinal on the music trac.  It was lovely.

My favorite worship music is Messianic / Davidic style.  In our synagogue, we dance, wave flags and banners, and praise G-d to this type of music.  I love it because it incorporates the Hebrew language, which we want to teach and preserve.   I hope you enjoy a sample of this joyous style:
