Please Pray With Me

Today is the day officially set aside in the United States of America as The National Day of Prayer.  People all of the country will be praying for our country, our leaders, and for each one of us as citizens.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (below) is often quoted about saving America, but I believe it is mostly misunderstood.  Please read this scripture in context. The people had thrown Adonai's Torah behind their backs -- scorned it -- refused to obey His laws.  Our country, including many, many churches have done the same.

Beloved, this is the gospel of true repentance: Turn from your disobedience to His laws (Torah), accept that Yeshua is the only payment for those sins, and walk in obedience to Torah. This will save our land.

Prior to learning about God's Torah, I was taught that we don't have to obey Adonai's laws any longer.  That stumped me because Yeshua and His disciples obeyed them.  Even the apostle, Paul, obeyed them.  It's sad that people teach this lie.

Another thing I was taught is that there's no way we can't keep all of His laws.  This is true because some are for men, some are for women, and some can only be obeyed in the land of Israel.  Nevertheless, many teachers say we're not under the Law, and that it's no longer applicable.  This is a falsehood aka LIE.

I saw a graphic this week that I have to share with you:

These things are only the beginning.  There are laws related to business, agriculture, treatment of animals, personal relations, marriage, children -- and much more.

Remember, dear Gail-Friends, Yeshua said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

He also said, "Take my yoke upon you, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light."  He obeyed Torah, kept Adonai's Sabbath, (not the one established by the Roman Catholic Church) observed the feasts and festivals, and told his disciples to teach this when He gave The Great Commission."   (Matthew 28:18-20) :

18 Yeshua came and talked with them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh, 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age. (Complete Jewish Bible)

If you believe that Yeshua is God in the flesh (the Great Three in One), then the commandments He spoke of are indeed His Torah -- His commandments -- the Law.  And, nothing He taught the disciples while on earth is in conflict with, or disobedient to, the Torah.

Most people have never studied (or believed) the book of Leviticus, which details many of the laws of Adonai.  Therefore, we are seeing a great apostasy in the church today because people are not being obedient to many, many of God's laws.  Preachers teach their people to disobey God.  They probably are unaware of  the words of Yeshua in Revelation 22:

14 How blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they have the right to eat from the Tree of Life and go through the gates into the city! 15 Outside are the homosexuals, those involved with the occult and with drugs, the sexually immoral, murderers, idol-worshippers, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (Complete Jewish Bible)

The world will be a better place when revival comes, and this is what I'm praying for -- a revival of holiness.  That holiness is detailed in His Torah.  I pray you will read it and obey it.

Wisdom Wednesday

 L'Shana Tova!

The fear of Adonai is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: - Psa 111:10a

One day, I fell to my knees and cried out to G-d.  I asked for HIS wisdom...not the wisdom of the church to which I belonged....and certainly not the wisdom of the world.  I wanted HIS wisdom and I began to seek it diligently.

My search led me to Messianic Judaism and to joy and wisdom like I'd never, ever known before.  I've been blessed beyond measure and my joy continues to increase along with my wisdom. I 'm sure you've heard the saying "What Would Jesus Do?"  Well, dear readers, He would have celebrated Rosh Hashanah because he was Jewish.

This evening at sundown, Rosh Hashanah will begin - also known as Yom Teruah - the Day of Trumpets. The Holy Scriptures command observance of this holy day:

Leviticus 23:24-25
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest unto you, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.
 **************************************

I am happy that my Wisdom Wednesday series is beginning with this holy day.  I invite you to learn about Rosh Hashanah from previous posts I've done on that subject (on the left side bar under labels).

I pray for you, dear Gail-Friend, to experience the joys that Yeshua (Jesus) experienced in the Feasts and Festivals...in the study of the Torah...and of Judaism.

Since my next post will be during the Ten Days of Awe, I will not post on September 11.  This is a season of quiet reflection, of seeking the face of Adonai, and of teshuvah (repentence).  I look forward to time alone with Him.  If you are visiting during that time, please learn more about the High Holy Days by clicking on that subject on the left side bar under "Labels".   I will return on Wednesday, September 18.

Rosh Hashanah is also the beginning of the new year on the Jewish calendar.  That's why I started my post with L'Shana Tova, which is Hebrew for Happy New Year!  We wish you and your families Shana Tova U'mtuka – a sweet year filled with possibilities and blessings.

Since these days ahead are about repentence, I share this song, which is profound.  I pray you will receive the message it declares:

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Sharing this post with:

Pray for America - Day 4

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY
Today, on the anniversary of the birth of our nation, I pray you will take the time to pray and to remind others that it's not about the picnic, or the party, or the fireworks.  It's about our beloved country.  And we are responsible to protect and defend this beautiful gift given to us by G-d, and founded by men who honored and revered the Holy Scriptures.  We must repent  individually and as a nation, and turn from our wicked ways in order to save this land.  G-d had mercy on Ninevah and I pray He will have mercy on us.

 Leaders
Suggested Scriptural references ...
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all those who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, G-dly and dignified in every way.  1Timothy 2:1
The king’s heart is like a stream of water in the hand of the L-rd; He turns it wherever He will.  Proverbs 21:1
Nothing in all creation is hidden from G-d.  Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the one to whom we are accountable.  Hebrews 4:13
We can make our own plans, but the L-rd gives the right answer.  People may be pure in their own eyes, but the L-rd examines their motives.  Proverbs 16:1-2

Suggested prayers ...
Please give our leaders ears to hear Your wisdom and guidance ~ and the discernment, courage and strength to carry out Your direction.  We ask, Father, for You to move their hearts to honor You as their highest Authority.
We pray for wisdom and strength for the President, his cabinet, his administration and his family.
We ask that Your Holy wisdom penetrate the thoughts and decision making processes of those in positions of authority.  Help all those in authority to recognize they are accountable first to You.
We ask You to instill in our leaders an awareness of the G-dly heritage of this country and their responsibility before You to honor and preserve it.
We ask for leaders in all walks of life who sincerely hunger for truth and strive for sacred honor in all they think, say and do.
We ask You to guide and guard their motives, desires and plans.
We ask You to move in the hearts of many who know that service to You can be anywhere – even under a Capitol dome.
We ask You to raise up G-dly leaders who desire principle over politics.
We ask for servant-leaders who desire to be statesmen over politicians.
We ask for You to prosper and give favor to those who are truly devoted to You, that they may grow in influence and effectiveness.
We ask for Your transforming power to work in the lives of those who would deceive, divide and destroy.
We ask for religious leaders who understand You and are devoted to Your Truth and proclaim it boldly.

                     Repentance/Forgiveness

Suggested Scriptural references ... From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them.  Return to Me, and I will return to you, says the L-rd of hosts.  Malachi 3:7
But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.  Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.  Revelation 2:4-5
If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  I John 1:9
Do you presume on the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that G-d’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?  Romans 2:4
“Thus it is written, that theYeshua should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.  Luke 24:45-47
Suggested prayers ... Thank You that as we genuinely repent, You extend Your mercy and pardon.  Please lead us to an understanding of how far we have strayed as a nation.  We humbly and sincerely ask for Your forgiveness and restoration.
We pray repentance for our entire nation including and most importantly from us, the church.
We pray for Your forgiveness for a nation that has lost its way without You.
We pray for Your merciful patience and protection over America as we seek to turn our country back to You
Father, cleanse me from all sin.  Fill me with knowledge and wisdom that I may be worthy of Your blessing and may be equipped to stay strong in my faith. Grant me patience as I labor to make Your ways known in my nation and Your world.
Forgive us for our attempts to control and fix this broken world in our own power.
Forgive me for the things I have said or done which have contributed to hostility toward the Christian faith.  Show me the error of my ways, and allow me to seek and find Your ways above all others.
Forgive me when I have neglected to speak up when Your name is blasphemed.  Give me boldness to speak out in Your defense, and humility to demonstrate reverence for You.  May Your name be reverenced once again in the public arena.
Forgive my silence, L-rd.
Father Your Word makes clear that we cannot mock You without consequence.  Forgive our nation, L-rd.  Show us a perfect balance of living gracefully and championing truth.  May our lives be evidence of your goodness and righteousness.
Forgive me for failing to love as You love, for holding unforgiveness in my heart when You died to forgive me.
Thank You for accepting our genuine repentance, and for Your mercy and pardon.

31 Days of Prayer For Our Children - Day 27

To Preach the Good News

And Yeshua went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom.   (Matthew 4:23)

Yeshua said:  The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe the Good News
 (Mark 1:15)

Father, I pray my children will understand  that Teshuva (Repentance) means turning back to Torah.   Yeshua preached the Good News before He went to the cross.  Teshuva is turning back to  and accepting Your Way and Your Word.  You are Kadosh (Holy).  Your Ways are not our ways.  I pray for my children to understand Your Kadosh.

Thank you that we can learn Your Ways through study of  Your Torah.  May my children understand that many people and churches today preach "another" gospel.  Just as the leaders during the time of Yeshua had perverted Torah and set up man-made rules, religions and churches have done the same today.  They preach another gospel.  That gospel does not include Teshuva and throws out Your Torah.  Yeshua preached Teshuva and showed us how to live the Torah.

Father, I pray for my children to carry the message of repentance and faith in Yeshua Ha-Mashach.   I pray they will understand that your grace never changed from the Old Testament to the New.   You don't take sin lightly, and You require a blood sacrifice for the remission of sin.

My study of Leviticus taught me so much about the blood.  It sobered me to imagine having to take an animal to the priest to be slaughtered every time I sin.    Thank You, Father, that Yeshua paid the ultimate and final payment when He shed His blood.  No more do we have to sacrifice animals.    That truly is good news.  Thank You for Your blood, and may You be glorified forever through the mighty Name, Power, and Blood of Yeshua Ha-Mashiach.

31 Days of Praying For Our Children - Day 5

Father, I was baptized as a young child and always went to church.  One day, I found a gospel tract that brought true conviction when I read Yeshua's words found in  Matthew 7:

13Enter in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in there:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.
21Not every one that says to me, L-rd, L-rd, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, L-rd, L-rd, have we not prophesied in Your name? and in Your name have cast out devils? and in Your name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

That Word pierced my heart, and I knew I would be one of those who would hear You say, "Depart from me.  I never knew You."    I suddenly realized Your holiness, Your sovereignty.  True repentance led me to surrender.   I bowed the knee to You, a Holy G-d, and my life changed forever. Thank you for that day.  Thank You for opening my eyes to the Your Truth.

I pray for my daughters, their husbands and my grandson to have the teshuva (repentance) that leads to salvation and obedience to You.  I pray for them to know You, the Holy One of Israel, Yeshua Hamashiach.
