Sabbath Music - I Vow to Thee My Country

This has been the most exciting week I've seen in a long time.  A week ago, our new president was sworn in.  G-d has answered our prayers by putting Trump in office.  He hit the ground running and has made me so proud of America.  He has already begun reversing things that have brought great destruction to my beloved country.  To name a few, he's already taking action to make changes to abortion, immigration, American jobs, and international relations (including our beloved Israel).  This makes me happy, happy, happy.

Today, we have a pro-life president.  He sent Vice President Pence to speak on his behalf at the March for Life in Washington, DC.  I'm so thankful for a president who is not only pro-life but also pro-Israel.

My sweet husband introduced me to this song last week, and the lyrics are exactly how both of us feel about our country, and about the "other" country mentioned in the song.  I hope you enjoy I Vow to Thee My Country.

Holocaust Remembrance Day & the March for Life

The following quote is from Franklin Graham's Facebook page:

"Today is International Holocaust Memorial Day, a day set aside to remember the 6 million innocent Jews murdered by Hitler—gassed, experimented on, shot, and worked to death. Many observe that Hitler could’ve been stopped before so many lives were lost. But we have another #holocaust taking place in this world today—it’s called abortion. Over 58 million abortions have been performed legally in the U.S. since Roe v. Wade in 1973. Today Vice President Mike Pence is at The March for Life in Washington. He and thousands of others are standing up for the unborn and their rights. Let’s add our voice to theirs in support. Tag Vice President Mike Pence and the March for Life in your comments below to let them know of your support and prayers. Rather than looking back and wishing we had done something, let’s work to end the horror of abortion in this country now before tens of thousands more innocent lives are selfishly ended."

GLORY HALELUYAH!  We have a president and vice president who are PRO-LIFE (AND PRO-ISRAEL)!  You can watch the March for Life rally in Washington, D.C. at this link: March For Life

Or you can watch the individual speakers later.  I subscribe to Fox 10 Phoenix on YouTube, and they are a great resource for what's happening in our country.  I'm done with the fake news outlets (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN).  I encourage you, Gail-Friends, to find other sources for news, as the outlets mentioned lack integrity and only report stories that support their liberal agendas.

Yes, prayer changes things.  Please join me in praying and working for Roe v Wade to be reversed, and for the women and girls who have been hurt by an abortion to be healed.  I've written extensively on abortion, and you may read those posts HERE.

The Women's March

I did not watch the  women's march or any of the videos posted on social media. The photos I've quickly scrolled through because I hate having those evil images and words in my mind. Depravity, delusion,, and absolute vileness are on display, and it breaks my heart. These women are in tremendous pain, seeking wholeness and peace they will never find while walking the path they're on. The television, internet, music, and books are teaching them to be the exact opposite of what G-d intended.

The painting above speaks to this issue.  I see it as two women helping a young girl over rocky terrain.  That is what G-d calls believers to do.  It's imperative to us, as godly women, to lead girls and women to the right path. We are to guide them to turn to G-d, repent, and obey His Word. That's the only path to true peace and happiness.

As an older woman and a follower of Yeshua, I take very seriously the admonition to "teach the younger women". The women's march strengthened my resolve to teach truth to girls and women at every opportunity.   I encourage you, Gail-Friends, to take on that responsibility, too.

I read two articles this week that impressed me.  The first is by Nancy Campbell, of Above Rubies.  Nobody says it so succinctly as she.   The second is from a secular point of view and makes good points.  Both are well worth your time.

*****
"MY HEART GRIEVES by Nancy Campbell

I felt very saddened as I read and saw pictures of the Women’s march on Saturday. How grieving to see so many beautiful young women protesting, and yet deceived. Why were they marching? It began as an anti-Trump rally, but became a liberal, feminist rally to stand up for their female rights. And yet they stood against them. Madonna even disclosed that she considered blowing up the White House.

Instead of standing for all that is female and beautiful, they angrily held up banners picturing vaginas and private female parts, demanding abortion and gay rights. They are furious that Trump wants to defund Planned Parenthood that sells body parts of precious babies murdered in the womb.

Most of the signs are too vulgar to print, but a few milder ones:
“My body, my choice.”
“Fempire strikes back.”
“We are the granddaughters of the witches you could not burn.”

A beautiful little girl held up a placard “Trust Women” from the “Reproductive Freedom for All.” She is being deceived from childhood.

“My uterus is private property.” I beg your pardon? Why do they proclaim such a sign? Of course, it is private property within the protection of marriage. But they have turned from God’s original plan. If only I could tell them how God’s plan for His female creation brings joy, protection, and blessing. Instead they reject purity and reap heartache. They reject marriage and miss the glorious joys and fulfilment of a committed, faithful marriage. Many reject children and miss the greatest joys a woman can experience. They stand for womanhood and reject what womanhood is all about.

I know many have been hurt through unfaithful husbands and perhaps even abusive fathers. But many are just brainwashed. They don’t know that God is jealous for His female creation. That’s why He is so strong when he talks about widows and the fatherless. God wants to protect women. And when women and children do not have the protection of a godly man, look out. God is on their side and look out those who tamper with them. Psalm 68:5 says; “A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in His holy habitation.” Read more Scriptures at the end of this post and you’ll see how He feels.

But these women want their rights without men. They hate men. They protested against “stereotypes” (God’s eternal plan for a male and a female), “traditionalism” (committed marriage relationship), “sexism” (discrimination against women based on sex). This is the very root of deception. Because God created us female, this is who we are. To reject it and to be otherwise is to reject the destiny of our lives. To embrace our femaleness (which includes marriage and motherhood) is to walk in the destiny our Creator has designed for us.

They protest against “Marginalization” (to treat a group as inferior). God does not marginalize women. He lifts them up to the highest status. His plan protects women. It does not leave them vulnerable. This nation doesn’t marginalize women. They have every freedom they want. They even have the freedom to murder their babies and turn to the abominable lifestyle of homosexuality. What more do they want? What are they really protesting about? Do they really know. I don’t think so. I think they are confused.

God, our Creator loves these women. I pray that He will come in supernatural ways to show them His love and His truth and bring them into the fullness and liberty of true womanhood and femaleness. Will you pray too?"

"I am not a "disgrace to women" because I don't support the women's march. I do not feel I am a "second-class citizen" because I am a woman. I do not feel my voice is "not heard" because I am a woman. I do not feel I am not provided opportunities in this life or in America because I am a woman. I do not feel that I "don't have control of my body or choices" because I am a woman. I do not feel like I am " not respected or undermined" because I am a woman.
I AM a woman.
I can make my own choices.
I can speak and be heard.
I can VOTE.
I can work if I want.
I control my body.
I can defend myself.
I can defend my family.
There is nothing stopping me to do anything in this world but MYSELF.
I do not blame my circumstances or problems on anything other than my own choices or even that sometimes in life, we don't always get what we want. I take responsibility for myself.
I am a mother, a daughter, a wife, a sister, a friend. I am not held back in life but only by the walls I choose to not go over which is a personal choice.
Quit blaming.
Take responsibility.
If you want to speak, do so. But do not expect for me, a woman, to take you seriously wearing a pink va-jay-jay hat on your head and screaming profanities and bashing men.
If you have beliefs, and speak to me in a kind matter, I will listen. But do not expect for me to change my beliefs to suit yours. Respect goes both ways.
If you want to impress me, especially in regards to women, then speak on the real injustices and tragedies that affect women in foreign countries that do not have the opportunity or means to have their voices heard.
Saudi Arabia, women can't drive, no rights and must always be covered.
China and India, infanticide of baby girls.
Afghanistan, unequal education rights.
Democratic Republic of Congo, where rapes are brutal and women are left to die, or HIV-infected and left to care for children alone.
Mali, where women can not escape the torture of genital mutilation.
Pakistan, in tribal areas where women are gang raped to pay for men's crime.
Guatemala, the impoverished female underclass of Guatemala faces domestic violence, rape and the second-highest rate of HIV/AIDS after sub-Saharan Africa. An epidemic of gruesome unsolved murders has left hundreds of women dead, some of their bodies left with hate messages.
And that's just a few examples.
So when women get together in AMERICA and whine they don't have equal rights and march in their clean clothes, after eating a hearty breakfast, and it's like a vacation away that they have paid for to get there...
This WOMAN does not support it."

My Spirit Lifted

We spent most of Friday watching the events surrounding the inauguration of our new president.  I've never been so emotional about the transfer of power as I have this one.  When I saw the hundreds of thousands of people who braved the weather, and the threats of violence, to see Donald Trump take the oath of office, my heart swelled and tears flowed.

After the inauguration, Obama boarded the helicopter and departed.  As the vehicle rose in the air, I felt a tremendous weight lift from me.  I believe that lift was the departing of a very evil spirit that has dominated our country ever since Obama took office.

The past year has been horrible, as we've seen the media attack, ridicule, and try to destroy Trump and everyone associated with him.  While he was not my first choice, I admire his determination to attempt to undo the damage done by Obama's socialist policies.  I'm behind him 100%, and I pray for the country and the media to get on the "Trump Train".

I'm very encouraged by the actions Trump has taken since his election, and I'm confident that he will continue to work for us -- for America.  I love his new slogan, America First!  I also pray for and believe we will see a great revival of patriotism.

Hashem has answered our prayers in removing Obama, and in defeating Hillary.  Now let's join in praying for our new president to be protected, guided by wisdom, and to walk in the paths of righteousness and justice.

This song fills my spirit today.  My heart is full of praise to Hashem for answering our prayers.  I'm full of hope that we will return to great reverence for HIM and obedience to HIS ways.  HIS truth is marching on.

Sabbath Music - Keep On The Sunny Side

This song has been running through my head this week, so I thought I'd share it with y'all:  Keep On The Sunny Side.  It pretty much sums up a Scripture I've been meditating on, too.

"A merry heart does good like a medicine: but a broken spirit dries the bones."
(Proverbs 17:22)

The Sabbath is a big part of that, Gail-Friends.  Our bodies need rest.  G-d knows our frame -- that we are dust.  It's important to rest, yes.  It's also important to keep our minds on the good things, too.  That's how we rest our minds and spirits and stay on the "sunny side".

Philippians 4:8 tells us how to do that:  "... focus your thoughts on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, lovable or admirable, on some virtue or on something praiseworthy."

This concept is taught in the Old Testament, too:

It is good to give thanks to Adonai
and sing praises to your name, ‘Elyon,
to tell in the morning about your grace
and at night about your faithfulness,
to the music of a ten-stringed [harp] and a lute,
with the melody sounding on a lyre.
 For, Adonai, what you do makes me happy;
I take joy in what your hands have made.
How great are your deeds, Adonai!
How very deep your thoughts!

(Psalm 92:1-6)

Most mornings, I sit on my porch and write a prayer of thanks in my journal.  This gets my soul in a happy state.  Then, at night, I list the good things that have happened that day.  This helps me sleep better.

Shabbat shalom, Gail-Friends, and have a wonderful week.

They Said It Couldn't Be Done

They said it couldn't be done.  For the past year, they did everything they could to stop it, but it happened.  Donald J. Trump is about to be sworn in today as our 45th President.

I'm singing Happy Days Are Here Again because I have hope for my country.  This hope was beaten up, kicked, and abused by our 44th president.  I grieved daily as I saw the values I grew up with disdained and ridiculed.   I saw a socialist agenda promoted and slowly, but surely, put in place.  I wept as I heard the president say I needed to quit clinging to my guns and my religion.  I didn't give up hope and I kept praying for G-d to have mercy on us as a nation.

When Trump began his run for president, I wasn't convinced of his abilities or his character.  But over time, I grew in my confidence of his love of America, and of his determination to take our country back to its roots. (See my previous posts about our next president HERE).   By election day, I voted for him with no reservations.  I believe he will work for the America I knew and loved.  I believe he is on our side, and I'm excited to help him make America great again.  I have hope that he will work to defeat our enemies, both in this country and in the world.

That said, we must pray for him, especially today.  There are evil forces who seek to steal, kill and destroy the work he is determined to do.  Please join me in praying for him and for all who will be attending the inauguration today.  Pray for their safety.  Pray for angels to surround him and for them to do war against the evil spirits surrounding this event.  Say this with me,

"Greater is HE that is in us (believers)
than he that is in the world."

G-d is in control of all, and
"Safety is of the L-rd."

"Some trust in horses (policemen) and some in chariots (weapons), but we will trust in the Name of the L-rd."

This is a great and momentous day, Gail-Friends!
 Let's celebrate!
Happy Days Are Here Again!

Thankful Thursday - Happiness and Joy

I've got some catching up to do here on my blog.  I wanted to share with y'all a wonderful gift Rabbi and I received at Hanukkah.  A member of our synagogue hand-crafted this gorgeous menorah.

The menorah folds up and fits in one of the drawers.

The other drawer holds the candles.

Paul even made little balls that fit in the candle holders that prevent the wax from sticking.  Amazing, right?  Here is the menorah lit up in our home.  Isn't it beautiful?

We had a great Hanukkah party at the synagogue.  I made my annual Hanukkah menorah dip, and Taylor made this veggie menorah that we found on Pinterest.

I'm thankful to have finally mastered making a sound on the shofar.  I can't really call it good, but it's a start.

We had a beach wedding in December.  So much joy and happiness to see this young couple begin their life with G-d.

We prayed abundant blessings on David and Amanda, and that they will have many, many happy years together.

We had some cooler weather at the end of December, so we were able to enjoy our firepit, and the fabulous neighborhood fireworks show.

We ate our traditional Southern meal (black-eyed peas and rice) on New Years Day and enjoyed a glorious, warm day on the porch.

Last week, some of the ladies from the synagogue and I went to IKEA in Orlando.  Girls just want to have fun!! And we had lots of it.  We ate brunch at KeKe's, and then after shopping ate dessert at Madelein's. Both were new restaurants for me, and I highly recommend them.

What are you thankful for his week, Gail-Friends?

Thankful Thursday is my day to focus on and be thankful for all the many blessings in my life.

Pray for Israel - Part 2

This is a follow up to the call to prayer for Israel.  Those of us who stand with Israel are praising Hashem for answering our prayers about the Paris Middle East Peace Conference, which was held yesterday, January 15. Nothing substantive came from this conference.  It was a flop.

“…The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much… (James 5:16)

The result of the conference turned out to be a blessing to Israel, and did nothing to help the Palestinians.   The closing declaration at the conference warned against taking one-sided actions that could hurt talks, in an apparent reference to Israeli settlement building and urged both sides to “officially restate their commitment to the two-state solution”.  (Can you imagine some group telling the U.S. to stop building in our country? Ridiculous, right? )

Great Britain's Foreign Office statement said: "We have particular reservations about an international conference intended to advance peace between the parties that does not involve them – indeed which is taking place against the wishes of the Israelis – and which is taking place just days before the transition to a new American President when the US will be the ultimate guarantor of any agreement." (Can't you see what a dirty trick this is on the part of the US?  It's like a back stab from Obama, just to show how much he hates Israel.)

Obama had already pushed forward the  UN Security Council Resolution 2334, so this Paris conference was only evil hoopla to show support of it.  After the UN Security Council, Great Britain had second thoughts, and their prime minister blasted Secretary of State John Kerry for focusing only on the Israeli settlement.  Kerry gave a long and grandiose speech at the State Department days after the UN vote.  Shame on him for not even using his right to veto the resolution.  He chose, instead to abstain.
But, it is no surprise as he is a mouthpiece of Obama, and hates Israel.

Please continue to pray for Israel.  I'm thankful for our president-elect, who stands on the side of G-d's chosen people.  I'm also praying for him, and each of his cabinet members, to be led in the paths of righteousness and justice as he takes office.

There are also reports of people and groups who want to steal, kill and destroy during the inauguration on Friday.  Please join me in praying for those demons to be bound and stopped in their evil assignments.

Let's remember, "Greater is He that is in (us) than he that is in the world."

Sabbath Music - In Your Presence

Sunrises and sunsets overwhelm me with the glory of Adonai.  My heart overflows with love and worship.  How can any person not believe in Him when all creation declares His presence ?

I read these words today, and it is true:

We are meant to be a light to people..
We can't live for them..
We can't make them want to be in our lives..
We are here to shine the light and love them..
We are here on a journey home..
What we do and say is just a means to go home to God..
We are here for Him..
Just for Him..

I've shared this song before, but it perfectly describes the joys of His presence.  I pray you will be still on this Sabbath, look around you at the beauty of His creations -- the skies, birds, flowers -- and praise Him.  Your heart will lift, and you will find sweet rest in His presence.

In Your Presence by Paul Wilbur

Pray for Israel

This was sent to me today, and I ask you to please share it with others who stand with Israel.

"On January 15th, representatives from 70 different countries will gather in Paris, France for an unprecedented global conference. The stated goal of this conference is to promote a "two-state solution" as the way that lasting peace will be brought to the Middle East.

In Israel, there is a tremendous amount of concern that whatever is agreed upon at this conference will immediately be used as the basis for a UN Security Council resolution that would permanently divide the land of Israel and create a Palestinian state.

The UN Security Council resolution that was passed on Friday was one of the most significant events that we have witnessed in decades. Resolution 2334 made all Israeli settlements in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem illegal, it set the 1967 ceasefire lines as the border between the Israelis and the Palestinians, and it granted every single inch of East Jerusalem to the Palestinians.

This move that is being pushed by John Kerry and the Obama administration needs to be hindered until after Trump's inauguration. Donald Trump and his administration would have the authority to oppose this move. If they push it through before then, he would not be able to reverse their move.

Prophecy is unfolding in front of us, we are closer to our Lord's return than you can imagine."

The Scripture states that G-d will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her.

Please pray, Gail-Friends.   Join me and others in asking G-d to intervene in this situation.  We have seen great answers to prayer for our country over the last year.  I've been excited to see how G-d has worked to defeat the devilish plans laid by the deluded leaders of our government.    He has done that many times through history, both for our country and for Israel.

Stand firm, pray, and see what our L-rd will do.

Sabbath Music - Thank You Lord

We're expecting cold weather this weekend, so I'll be staying inside where it's warm.  We're expecting lows in the forties Saturday night, and I'll be sitting by my crackling fire DVD, with my warm socks and enjoying a restful Sabbath.  I'm a real wimp when it gets cold. My husband laughs because I don't go out of the house till the temperature hits seventy.

This is the kind of music I love on Shabbat.  Thank you L-rd, is piano with Scripture and  I hope you enjoy it.  You may want to subscribe to DappyTKey's channel.  I did, and I love it.

Have a blessed Sabbath, and stay warm, Gail-Friends.
