40 Days to Save America – Day 5

For 40 Days (September 28 - November 6), I will be posting prayers for our country.  These prayers are from the prayer initiative 40 Days to Save America.

Day 5

As you pray today for our churches, our cities and our nation, pray as you might pray for an unbelieving friend:

1. That America will want to know about a personal relationship with G-d.
2. That Satan will be prevented from blinding America from truth.
3. That America might think about why she needs Jesus to forgive her sins.
4. That America will turn from her sin and follow Jesus.
5. That America will really trust in Jesus.
6. That America will believe that Jesus is L-rd.
7. That America will hear and believe the Bible.
8. L-rd, make us brave enough to tell America about Jesus, and give us the right words.

Prayer for Leaders

We ask that You turn their hearts towards You, L-rd. We ask that You soften their hearts, L-rd, to recognize and receive truth. L-rd, we ask that you grant them the understanding and knowledge that come from the fear of You. We ask that you grant them wisdom and discernment, L-rd, and that you make them bold to do what is right in Your sight. L-rd, we ask that you direct their hearts to do Your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.
