31 Days of Praying For Our Children - Day 21

Spiritual Warfare

 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through G-d to the pulling down of strong holds;)
 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of G-d, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Yeshua. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the L-rd, and in the power of His  might.
 Put on the whole armour of G-d, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of G-d, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of G-d:
 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.  (Ephesians 6:10 - 18)

Father, thank you for our spiritual weapons of warfare.  You have given us the keys to Your Kingdom to set captives free.  We have Your mighty Name, Your powerful blood, Your Holy Word,  praise and the shout of joy, prayer in tongues and with understanding,   And we have fasting.   These are Your power and Your strategy to pull down strongholds in our own lives and in the lives of our children.

Thank You, Father, for showing us how to overpower the evil one who prowls around, seeking to devour our children.  He can't win when we stand and fight with Your weapons.  Thank You, Father for teaching me to war against the evil one.  I pray they, too, will do war for their families and future generations.  Thank You for Your protection as we do battle, and that You keep us in Your secret place as Psalm 91 says:

Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
 I say of the L-rd, He is my refuge and my fortress: my G-d; in Him I trust.
 Surely He will deliver me and my children from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He will cover them with His feathers, and under His wings shall they trust: His truth shall be their shield and buckler.
 They shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at their side, and ten thousand at their right hand; but it shall not come near them.
They will behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because they have made the L-rd, which is our refuge, even the most High, their habitation;
 There shall no evil befall them, neither shall any plague come near their dwelling.
 For He shall give his angels charge over them, to keep them in all their ways.
 They shall bear them up in their hands, lest they dash their foot against a stone.
 They shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shall they trample under feet.
Because G-d has set his love upon them, therefore will G-d deliver them: He will set them on high, because they have known His name.
They shall call upon You, Father,  and You will answer them: You will be with them in trouble; You will deliver them, and honor them.
With long life will You satisfy them, and show them Your salvation
