Thankful Thursday - The Mid-Terms and the Future

As I write this post, I'm two days past the mid-term election, and my heart is full of gratitude for the positive things that have happened across the country.  Many are disheartened because the Republicans did not hold onto the House of Representatives, and I'm a bit disappointed, too. But when looking at the big picture, I am very encouraged.  I'm praising God for these things:

The Blue Wave Hit a Red Wall - in other words, the Democrats did not win BIG like they'd hoped.  For this I'm very thankful.

We have a new Republican governor here in Florida - conservative DeSantis defeated the socialist Gillam. And the Republicans are the majority in the Florida house and senate.

Twenty states elected REPUBLICAN governors vs sixteen states that elected Democrat governors.

Conservative Ted Cruz defeated the socialist Bento.

I'm most grateful for the good news related to the right to life.  Just look at these news items:

West Virginia Approved a Pro-Life Amendment Saying There is No Right to Abortion

Alabama Approved an Amendment Saying Unborn Babies Have a Right to Life.- Haleluyah!!!

Pro-Life Josh Hawley Defeated Hardcore Abortion Activist Claire McCaskill in Missouri.

Pro-Life Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds Defeated Planned Parenthood Board Member to Win Re-Election.

And we have a president who is very happy with the outcomes, and is focusing on a positive future in spite of the setback in the House. With this president, you NEVER know what will happen. More good things are coming!!! Don't be discouraged - keep on praying and believing!  With God's help  we will Make America Great Again.

How can we do that?

By praying and obeying:

Pray for God to open the eyes of blind and the ears of the deaf about His Word and His Ways.  This is the most important thing, Gail-Friends.  Many, many churches today have neglected to preach about sin.  For example, we have people come to our synagogue representing themselves as a married couple.  For some reason, God gives me clear discernment on this immediately.  When counseled, they decide to marry and we have a beautiful celebration with them.  Many of these are people who have been in church all of their lives.  How did they come to this conclusion that they can live together without marriage?  Because they did not sit under a shepherd who teaches God's Truth.  Many preachers have a feel-good mentality/program and don't want to rock the boat.  We don't operate that way because it is against the Truth of His Word.

Pray for God to use you to teach people His Truth.   I've written about this before, but it bears repeating.  If you are in a church that teaches you to disobey God's Word, you must get out of that church.  Yeshua (Jesus) was a Torah observant Jew and He obeyed God's Laws.  We are to do the same.  He said, "If you love me, you will keep My Commandments." And these were His last words to His disciples (this includes today's followers): “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:19-20)

Pray for America to return to her Judeo/Christian roots.  I grew up hearing preachers talk about sin and hell.  This was in the 1950's and we were much more polite, civil, and God-fearing society because of what was taught.  If that turns you off, you haven't read the Bible. Or you're reading one of those new translations that distorts God's Truth.  I recommend the Complete Jewish Bible or the Tree of Life Version, which are much closer to the Hebrew versions. Both of these editions include the Old and New Testaments.   Also, this is the Hebrew/English Torah and Haftaros (Old Testament) version we use / teach at our synagogue:  The Stone Edition Chumash You will be amazed when you begin to study and compare the Hebrew passages with your current Bible translation.

Take every opportunity to talk about religion and politics.  This is a hard one for people to accept because we've been taught the lie that we should avoid both.  Don't do it.  Pray for God to open doors for you to teach His Truth, and about the evils of the Democrat Party Platform.  I often say, "I don't know how you can claim to be a follower of Yeshua and be a Democrat."  You'll see what I mean when you investigate for yourself.  Would Jesus approve of abortion (murder of the unborn) or homosexuality (called an abomination in the Bible)? Some people have no idea what their party stands for, and we must take it seriously to teach them this truth.

When I was in high school, we were taught a course based on the book, "Americanism vs Communism." We were taught American history and civics.  These are being omitted from schools today.  That's another thing we can work to change.  I recommend highly these websites to learn about history and our civic duty:

David Barton's Wallbuilders
Prager U
The James Madison Institute
Hillsdale College
The Franklin Institute

I love my country and fully realize, especially after this mid-term election, that we must stay involved.  I read a post this week that I must share:

"We are all bound by a feeling deep inside, a feeling that cannot be publicly expressed for fear of ridicule, a feeling that challenges the mainstream (narrative), against that which we are told to accept and dare not question, put simply, that people are being abused by those in power and time is running out.
Remember the battles of Lexington and Concord - "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!"
For far too long we have been silent and allowed our bands of strength, that we once formed to defend FREEDOM and LIBERTY, to deteriorate.
We became divided.
We became weak.
We elected TRAITORS to govern us.
We allowed EVIL to prey on us.
Those who claimed to represent us gave us false hope, made false promises.
The evil and corruption only grew.
——————————
This is more than party politics.
This is about restoring OLD GLORY.
This is about saving our land and our people from those who wish us harm.
This is about preserving our REPUBLIC.
This is about preserving our SAFETY.
This is about restoring our STRENGTH.
This is about LIFE, LIBERTY, and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.
This is about PROTECTING our children.
THIS IS ABOUT SAVING AMERICA.
We are all God's children.
We are, FATHERS.
We are, MOTHERS.
We are, DAUGHTERS.
We are, SONS.
We are, BROTHERS.
We are, SISTERS.
We do not look at race.
We do not look at skin color.
We are UNITED in these STATES OF AMERICA.
We are, and will always be, PATRIOTS.
WE MUST RISE AGAIN.
WE MUST UNITE AGAIN.
WE MUST FIGHT AGAIN."

Please read my previous post (written on election day) to learn how to fight:  Fight For America

Blessings to you all, dear Gail-Friends

**Just today, Ruth Ginsberg fell and broke three ribs.  She's eighty-five years old, and often an injury like this could lead to her having to retire. If she does, then Trump will be able to have another conservative judge placed on the Court.  My prayer is for her to retire because she is unapologetically liberal and has the blood of millions of unborn babies on her hands through her rulings on abortion (murder).  She's also on record stating that our constitution is outdated and she wants it replaced.  So, she makes decisions with a mind that rejects both the foundation on which this country was built as well as God's Word.
